    Honda Accord 94 LX
I am about to change my timing belt, balancer belt, & water pump. The crank bolt is loose (progress!). My crank pulley white mark is lined up with the pointer on the T-belt cover. The T-belt cover is now off. My concern: I can tell that the distributor rotor contact is barely pointing to # 1 post. The disributor contact is about an inch wide - convex shaped. Does it matter where on the # 1 post the distributor rotor is pointing? Middle, one end or just anywhere on the contact point? Thanks

Experience is on my side after completing the timing belt project. My answer: It does not matter as long as the rotor points at the #1 post. Apparently mine points in the right direction... very near one end of the rotor contact since my engine runs very smoothly as it did before the TB change.
