Do you mean things like obituaries? What other specific types of records would you like to find? Are you wanting to find these things for a specific location?

There are places on the Internet where you can find some information for free. But, it would help us to know more as to what specific types of information that you are looking for.

Yes obituaries, autopsy, official death records are what I'm looking for. I've been looking all night and every website I go to costs money!

Do not know of any free sites and even the pay sites will be limited to some specifid areas as autopsy and other official notices are not on the web in many areas.

Social Security records (site has been furnished to you) are pretty reliable; autopsy records are not on line - be aware that free sites are very often terribly inaccurate. Find out where he died and attempt to get Death Certificate from County Clerk but very often those are limited to next of kin (which is probably your mother) and not freely handed out.
