Custom tile or manufactured shower enclosure? What's the drainage pipe made of? We need more details before we can answer. Tom

It is a manufactured shower insert with a pvc drain and pipe.

This won't be a easy job. Let's see if we can find a simpler way. Why do you want to replace the drain? Let me know, Tom

The metal strainer over the drain has come off and the screw used to hold the screw in place has broken off and is lodged in the screw hole.

This wouldn't be the same question under a different name would it? I just answered the same complaint and here's what I told them.
If the strainer is the problem you could save yourself a lot of expense and hassle be simply drilling out the broken screws and reinstalling the strainer using self tapping screws. Sound like a plan? Cheers, Tom

Nope, first time I received this advice and I like it. Thanks for the tip.

Glade you like it. If we can find a way to repair something instead of replacing it that's what we're going to do. Happy showing! Tom
