Want to ask a girl out, but there's things I need to make sure before.
I know this girl and I've been her friend for a year now, we speak quiet often & we chat a lot on MSN.

During the past few weeks, I've been wanting to ask her out, but I have a bad experience with this kind of situation so I need to make sure our friendship won't be broken during this process.

I want to find a way to let her know I love her so that I can see if she loves me too before risking it and asking her out.

It can be done on MSN, but I need to find a way to gently let her know, in a way that with her response I'll be able to know whether I should go forward and ask her out or to stop and forget about.

This is kind of urgent so I will appreciate it if someone could reply fast.

    Thanks in advance.

[Note: I am 16 years old.]

Sorry, but there is no way in dating to be sure of anything,

And yes, at this point, there is no way to always have the same relationship, if you don't ask her out, that will always be bothering you.
And if you do, and she says no, that will change your relationship, if she says yes, that will change it also.

So there is no way of finding this out, and even if she says it won't, it could.
And if you ask her if that would change things that is like asking her out also.

You can't really just stop thinking about it either can you?? If you really like her, you can't

Well now it has been ( too many years) but I had a similar situation in high school myself, ( I guess many of us do)

I still think of her to this day, she was my best friend, we talked about everything. But I started feeling more for her. Well that first date and kiss changed everything. I am past the love ( or feelings) I had, but miss my best friend to this day.

But had I not asked her out, I would have always wondered what if also.

So advice, sorry that will always be your choice, But I guess we have to go by our feelings and hope.

Who better to share a movie or a meal with than a best friend? My dates and I were always best friends long before we started to go out alone together.

All you need to do at this point is ask her out (by phone or in person, NOT on MSN). You don't have to love her, and she doesn't have to love you. Don't overanalyze this relationship. You are simply friends. Go forward from that.
