Hello could anyone tell me why my check engine light all of a sudden came on after getting a fill up of gas I have no type of inducation that anything is really wrong with the car

Check to see if your gas cap is on all the way. If not auto zone will test it for free.(only on 95 cars and up)

There's a Data Link Connector, under the dash near the steering column, that accepts a scan tool or code reader to read any codes stored in the ECM (computer). AutoZone and many auto parts stores will check for any "thrown" codes for free. It may be that the gas cap was not replaced, or doesn't seal properly, or it could be one or more codes caused by some other problem.
