Why does my refrigerator shake and rumble when it turns off?:(
You know what? I have the same question as you do. :)
When I saw your question, I got to thinking and remembered that my refrigerator does the same thing. It is so common to me now, that I usually don't give it much thought when it happens. Maybe our fridges are on their way out? Hopefully, an appliance expert will come along and answer the question.
Many times the bolts holding the compressor can be tighten down a bit to eleminate this problem. Also check the rubber bushings at the base of the compressor for wear. I have seen the dry rotted and will cause this problem as well
That was very informative and helpful! Thank you so much! :)Quote:

And, if I had started a new thread, then the question would have already been answered on this thread here. So, there really would have been no point in me asking in a new thread about the same thing. There's also nothing wrong with commiserating with others about having similar type problems/situations on this site. Lots of times, that is how we work out the solutions to things, through revelation and also discussion! It's not always a black and white issue of "ask question - receive correct answer."
You really do provide some great and helpful answers on this site, acetc! But, I'm sorry that you seem to be having a bad day! It would be nice to speak with you when you are feeling better! We are all in this to work together as a team, you know! :)
