    Goodman furnace/ no heat
My Goodman furnace was working just fine the other day, but now I can hear it trying to start up but nothing happens. The cold air works just fine. It has no pilot light, works with internal ignition. I've done what the maunal suggests to check before calling someone out but nothing has changed. Right after I lost my heat for the house, I lost the hot water and my burners to the range won't light. They snap but no flame. Is this strickly a gas issue or something else. Gas company not open due to holiday. Hope someone can help.

Yes, of course I paid my bill. I checked online with my bank, it was paid. I went online to the gas company but page was down till Monday, it's being redone. Just my luck.

Unless thery locked it off by mistake you should have gas.
The only thing you can do is look at the gas meter and see if they locked it off.
Otherwise you are at the mercy of when the gas company opens for relief.

Ok, thank you. I did look at the meter today when I went home for lunch, because I saw some pictures on the net that showed an open & then closed off gas valve. Mine was in the open position. I guess I'll live through it till Monday and go from there.

Do you have a paper bill? Check it, surely they have some sort of an emergency number. Check the phone book. Do your neighbors have gas?

I hope you have fixed it by now. If you had the guy who installed my Goodman POS, which broke down after three months, and my installer being Park and Sons or Emergency Heating and Repair in Omaha Nebraska, you'd still be waiting for him to call like I am.
    No Goodman=happiness

((The probem in Goodman won't use dealers, they sell their crap to anyone))

The factory has a policy and they DO NOT sell to anyone.
The factory only sells to wholesale houses for the HVAC trade.
It is the wholesale house or the dealer that is selling to anyone.

Goodman is just as good as any other equipment if installed correctly.
The problem is many units are not installed correctly because Joe homeowner bought on off Ebay and installed it himself causing all the problems.

Joe Homeowner in this case paid a contractor to do it. I'm taking the blame for accepting the lowest bid. And sorry, Goodman is crap. I should get more than three months out of it before it starts to quit on me. And don't blame people who try to save a ton of money by installing their own furnaces or work on them. Contractors are out there ripping people off, these are hard economic times for a lot of people. You guys aren't worth $100.00 per hour, you just charge it becaue you can get away with it.
