    Glueless and solderless plumbing fittings
I have heard that there is new fittings out that don't require any glue or soldering. Is this true?

If you have to splice the copper there is a connection I think they call either a gator or a shark, I used my first one a couple of weels ago,
It was OK, but a compression fitting would have done it also.

Pricey, but slick. They almost fall together and can be used to connect copper to CPVC and PEX. Last I looked, the big box stores didn't have them, but Ace hardware and plumbing supplies should.
