Laws about Child being home alone in FL
I am 14 yrs. Old and I'm about to go spend a week with my cousin and her husband in Jacksonville, Fl. My mom is having second thoughts on letting me go, she's concerned that both of them will be going to work at the sametime. They work at he navy base in Jacksonville, they will be ussualy working 6 hours from the morning to the afternoon. I was wondering what are the laws concerning a child being home alone in Jacksonville, Fl? What are the age limits and all the details about the law.

Teens 14 baby sit for younger children while their parents go to dinner and out for the evening. IF the teen is not mature I may be worried about leaving them alone but that is a different issue

Well to be honest, I woud never have left my teens alone for long by thierself. So it may be a lack of trust for some reasons on your parents point

I'm most likely going to be sleeping most of the time. I've been in a situation where I was able to take care of myself. Someone broke into my house so I knocked him out, well I found out the law for being home alone. There actually is no law, Florida justs wants the parents to decide on their own.
