My ex and I were doing FWB with the understanding that now was not the right time for a relationship. He and I would call each other latenight and hook up. We have admitted that we love each other but I know he's not ready to be with me. I told him that I deserved better than someone who only calls latenight and he said you're right, you do.

I decided FWB had to stop and have not called him. He came over last night under the pretense of dropping my earrings off, but took his coat off to hang out for a while and ended up staying and playing a boardgame with me... it was fun, we laughed and joked and flirted, but did not even kiss. I said I was going to bed and he gave me a hug, kiss on the cheek and told me he'd talk to me soon.

My question: Does he just want to be friend (cause he didn't try for more) or is he trying to do things the right way and show some respect? I think things with us will take a while, but does it sound like he's still interested? Please let me know your thoughts :)
