I want my dog to sleep inside during night. So I'm thinking of crating it. I'm just not sure how or what it does, I'm just really confused about the crating thing. Like does it keep the dog from messing in the house at night. Like I'm going to set my alarm at around 4:00 am so I can take her out. And then in the morning again at about 6:30 am. But I just want to be sure what crating is. What does it look like? Where Do I get it? Can you build it? Please help me? Fast. Thank you so much.

There are more details in the section on housebreaking. Most places that sell dog supplies have crates. I guess you could make one out of expaned metal, but the material might cost as much as a crate. Wood won't do, it splinters when chewed.
