What is wrong with my outlet?
I hooked up my Christmas lights this weekend and blew out a fuse. I reset the fuse and added more lights to the outlet (not a good idea - I know). Last night I turned on the lights and about 10 minutes later the fuse blew again. I reset the fuse in the box BUT now nothing works in the outlet...

I unscrewed the outlet from the house and nothing looks burnt or wrong on the outlet or its wires.

How do I get the outlet to work again? Is it a circuit breaker problem?

    Thanks,
    Dean

Sure the breaker may be defective.

Also, there could be a GFI receptacle someplace that may be tripped.

If reseting the breaker or a GFI device does not restore power, then the breaker, GFI outlet, or a loose connection could be the problem, and a voltage tester and the ability to open the panel and outlet boxes, and the knowledge of how to troubleshoot this issue will be needed.
