    Quiet Title Claim
Is an attorney needed to file a quiet title claim? If not, how does one go about filing such a claim, i.e. forms to complete, court dates, etc. (California resident)

    Hello w:

No, but if you do it wrong, whoever lives there could be living in someone's else's house. Clearly, you know NOTHING about it. Sooooooo...

Really in some places either an attorney or a title company will be needed, since it will be their report that will be used to base your claims on.

What happens, you research the title completely find any possible issues, and first you try to solve those by connecting the possible person with the claim against the property. After that you file your claim in court. This is a very complicated process and each state will have their own reqirements, so yes, you really need an attorney to do it right
