My daughter has permanent jet black dyed hair. She needs to dye it brown. Any chance that it can be done at home?

The only way to get rid of black dye is to use hair bleach and at least 30 vol. developer. Have a color ready to put over it because it will probably come out orange. Do the roots last with the bleach because they will lift first.

If you want to go from black to brown, you will need to pre-lighten your hair to a brownish level and then deposit the desired color.
