    Getting engaged and going bankrupt
I would like to buy my girlfriend an engagement ring, but I have credit card debt and I am seriously thinking about filing bankruptcy. What are my options? I want to buy a ring to start my future, but I don't want the ring taken away from her after I propose. HELP!

    1. Don't buy something you can't afford that is why you are in the trouble you are.

    2. if you have to file bankruptcy do it now, not latter and don't get the ring on a credit card

    3. only buy what you can afford now, get a better ring for her after you get out of debt, have money saved and in good money condition

    Hello Ashlyn816

FR_chuck is right on with his advise BUY only what you can afford . A nice engagement ring is OK, but that can come later Remember a ring does not buy love. If your girlfriend knows about your debt she will understand. You need to set up a budget, pay off your cc debt save some money and THEN buy a ring If BK is your only option do it now not later
