    80's children's film
I used to watch this animated film when I was little that I loved. All I can remember now is that there were two mice? A girl one and a boy one and they had adventurers with this boy. It was quite frightening sometimes too. It might have been called the Adventurers but I can't find anything online about it. Any ideas?

That's what I was thinking, but I don't recall their being any human main characters in those ones.

    Maybe The Rescuers from 1977?

The Rescuers had Bernard and Ms. Bianca (the two little mice) helping a little orphan girl named Penny.

But "The Rescuers Down Under"(1990) has them helping a little boy named Cody. So if you're sure it was a boy then maybe that's the one you're thinking of.

Edit: Both movies could have been scary for a child. "The Rescuers" involves an old pirates cave that has skeletons in it and the little girl gets put down the hole into the cave, there are also a pair of crocodiles and a lady named Medusa (who is similar to "101 Dalmations" Cruella de Ville because she was supposed to be Cruella when the movie was being developed).

The Rescuers Down Under has a poacher who is trying to capture this eagle and he captures the little boy while trying to get the eagle. There is a scene with a clif where the boy is in danger and the eagle saves him.
