2 OR 3 years ago my brother on my Moms instruction asked me to sign a paper He said it didn't mean anything was being taken from me. Instruction, at the time that's what I was thinking, but didn't want to face the reality that my Mom had become hostile covertly to me Why, lets just say it not enough that after my wife had a stroke and she watched my daughter at the time 8 yrs. Decided that since she wanted a girl her whole life I think she then, because she was so lovable so wonderful, plus, she would be able to take her older sister to who's now 22 and in first year law school. Back to why, within 6 month of her stroke which left her 100% disabled and lives in an ALF now. I became disabled and from taking all that time off to work with my wife I was almost bankrupt. I had a retail store that was criminally robbed by my employees, while the cats away! So my Mom as on one hand said Ill do this to help you out with your children became 100% hostile to me always saying I had done nothing and it was all in my head nobody is out to get you. She would be in the habit of always speaking ike that on the phone with my kids there For years I tried to put it in the back of my mind not to believe it either Now after 7 years so much more has transpired that this AUTHORIZATION that I signed is not the only things that were put to me to sign. Now I told by my Mom since Ive been so irresponsible that she will not leave me any money out right. I have 3 brothers that all have more knowledge of our Moms estate and say your not disinherited but! So as a long story goes what should I do? Does the authorize4d company and people identified from this other co. owe me some kind of information if I ask.
I thought I should add Mom probably has 10 million.

If you are asking if your Mother can disinherit you, yes, she can. And, no, you are not entitled to any information concerning her Will until her death.

I'll explain what the" telephone reallocate authorization" is. Its a form issued by a finacal advisor account ex. From a firm that my Mom uses, without using thir name its like a private firm that buys and sells in this case "an owner of a variable annuity contract issued by one of the companies listed below" each refired to as (then I can't read what it says, Then on a 2nd and 3rd and 4th line names of companies. Its instructing with my signature, to change or reallocate funds in this annuity.
Originally I was told this was an asset for me to get when my mom dies. Before I got this outing, I believed it to be an account of funds which would become mine upon her death. Since it was already in my name and on this form I'm listed as owner and my mother as Annuitant/insured(s). I believed that if my Mom wanted to change amounts or terms or anything she wanted changed, Id go ALONG WITH, after all she has been very supportive of my daughters no matter what's happens to me and there are my 3 brothers who she has 2 favorite one being the barer of news(this document) and swore he didn't know what it was, he's a money hungry manipulator like Mom, she had to have my signature. So hoping for the best not being specious, I signed. Furthermore, it was a form that allowed these two brokers named on the form and my Mom have mentioned their names only, in passing. According to the form after I signed the paper they could by telephone make any change they wanted that would have been instructed by my Mother. Plus a disclaimer Id call it. Over my signature where I sighned it starts saying Neither the Company nor the person authorized by the company will be responsible for claims, loss. Liability or expensive the company or authorized person acts in good faith on and on.ect. So my question is do I shut up and that's it or can I contact the person listed and just say can I find out more information about this or something else? I hope this is understandable because I all confused now its to long and I wouldn't know how to shorten it on line.

Ok, the form allows changes to the allocation of the annuity by phone without requiring a signature. I think there still has to be some proof of the authorization.

It would not change the ownership, but it could affect the value. If you are the owner you should get a regular statement of the transactions and value. Are you unhappy with the performance of investments?

I have say to Scottgems above at this point, there is in the form the point which I'm trying to clear is that I signed this paper giving authority to the advisor named and in my last post I go on to say how they have a disclaimer above where I signed stating they can't be held accountable to any degree! So that is what you thought that there must be some kind of accountability on the part of for whom the form ultimately benefit, if not me. As another post said there should be a statement going somewhere! I said yea to me at my Moms address which all financial matters go when she is involved. I guess she wants to control everything till she dies even stuff like this that she may have given away to me and now is distributing my shares another way, my daughters or brothers . Maybe I can't be taken off this annuity but my allocation can be shrunk.
