    Am I pregnant?
Well I am 10 days late for my period. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and they are all negative. I have taken them with first morning urine. I have not been on birth control for over a year. My last period began on October 11. I am typically 3 days late, but never this late. Yesterday I felt sick all day and had a few cramps last night before I went to bed. I could have possibly conceived either the last few days in October or the first week of November. My husband and I are both 22. We are not "trying" but the last couple of months we have not been necessarily preventing. We only use the withdrawl method. If anyone has some advice I would appreciate it... I am pretty new at this and my husband just got deployed over to Iraq so I feel pretty alone. I was thinking about going to the doctor, but the doctors on base won't typically see you until you are 4 weeks late! Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you :)

You could go to the health department and get a test, they are pretty inexpensive.
Sometimes the HPT aren't as accurate in early pregnancy. I would schedule an appointment with your doctor. If you start your period you can always cancel.

Understand that the withdrawal method is quite ineffective. After only 10 days late I think it's premature to suspect anything and pregnancy tests may not be totally accurate so early in the game. I think the base doctors have it right ; once you get to be 4 weeks late, if you get to be 4 weeks late, you're in a position to make a much more reliable diagnosis. Best wishes to your and your husband.

If you are in fact pregnant it may be too early to register on a HPT or even a blood test for that matter. I would do as the others stated and schedule an appt with your doctor for a blood test. In the meantime you could take a HPT about once a week. If you are pregnant, your levels of HCG double every 2 days.

Keep in mind though, many factors can cause you to be late or miss a period altogether once in awhile... such as your husband just being deployed.
