    Why am I bruised?
Hi my left top near the back tooth filling came out so went walk in centre were she put a temp 1 in, so last week went to my dentist as in a lot of pain and told him to take it out, he seemed to be very rough, for 3 days couldn't talk propaply now all my gum inside and out side of my cheek is bruised.
I have never had this before even though I have had teeth out, so why was /am I in pain and bruised? Thank you.

Bruising can be caused by any trauma to the gums or teeth. I had a filling and my right cheek was bruised for almost a week. But when I had five teeth pulled (four were wisdom), I had no bruising.

Everyone handles trauma differently AND some dentists are more gentle than others. Warm salt water rinses may help. I'd let your dentist have a look at the extraction site though.
