I don't think so... that could be misconstrued at fleeing the country.
I am sorry to tell you the answer is no, even if he did plead not guilty that still does not mean he isn't so to speak. Unfortunately he has to wait till the Judge gives him a green light and then he maybe able to leave. I do have to agree with chihuahuamomma that in a Judge’s eye this could look like misconstrued at fleeing the country.
I agree with the answers above. I do want to add that it would be best to make yourself look as good as possible in the eyes of a judge. Best not to give the courts any fuel or reason to assume that something is when it really isn't.

This is NOT a guessing game. He either CAN or CAN'T leave the jurisdiction of the court. Those stipulations are contained in his BAIL documents, or his "conditional" release documents. Plus, he's probably under the supervision of the pre-trial services of the court.
Therefore, prior to making your reservations, I would read every single piece of paper you have regarding his release. I would talk to pre-trial services. Plus, if you have an attorney, and I can't imagine you don't, I would talk to him too.

Yes, as long as he makes it for his court date. At this point he hasn't been convicted of anything yet, just indicted.
