    Waterheater No pressure anymore
    Hey There,

I had yesterday a new Waterheater installed by a contracted company of Home Depot.
We had a 30 Gal tank that was releasing pressurized water and therefore we have been recommended to have a New WaterHeater.
So, Yesterday the Man brought a new 40 Gal GE Watertank and he informed us before proceeding with the instalation that our Valve had to be changes because it is no working properly. Technician installed it as well as the waterheater.

Now we have a strong Cold water stream but no Hot water. When the technician left after 5 hours he said that he does not know what causes the strength deficienty of the Hotwater throughout the house.

He said it might be because the water has not reached the required temperature which would create the Pressure needed.
This morning after 6 Hours the hot water is still no hot water and no pressure!

If there is anybody out there able to give me on some advise so that once teschnician comes I will know what to mexpect and see if he knows what he is talking about.

    Thanks

If the water released from the heater was released from the heater relief valve then I think you got scammed. I*f you have a sprinkler system or a backflow preventer installed near the water meter I know you got took. A expansion tank installed on the coldwater inlet of the heater would have stopped the discharge.

This sounds like another scam. The cold water inlet valve? As a rule we don't have to change out those valves when we replace a heater.

Why was he there 5 hours? It only takes about a hour to drain and replace a water heater.

OUTRAGEOUS!! Since he didn''t know what he had done to cause the problem he blew smoke up your skirt and left. He should be prohibited from calling himself a plumber and making service calls.

For openers call and tell them to send another plumber. The one they sent is a dumb as a box of rocks. I think he may have installed the hot water heat nipple on backwards. Get a man in there that knows what he's doing. And for what it's worth, I don't think you needed a new water to began with. I would call The Better Business Bureau and ask them how many complaints this company has against them. They sound shady and incompetent to me.
You may have a case for fraud here. Good luck and [please keep ne in the loop and let me know what happens. Tom
