Shower runs when tub faucet is on!
We have striped our bathroom down to the studs, and replace all the piping in the tub. We replaced the tub also. We are almost done with the entire bathroom and have even finished the tile around the tub walls. We got new fixtures for the tub and have tried installing them, but after they are all on- the water gets turned on and the shower immediately starts to produce water and not just a drip, it comes out almost as much as if you were taking a shower. This is very confusing and we are at our wits end. How do we fix this?

A few things that would cause this come to mind. 1) a faulty diverter spout.( but that's not very likely). 2) Excessive house pressure **or** 3) Too short a shower raiser. If I had to guess I'd pick door number three. How long is the shower raiser from velve to shower head? Regards, Tom
