Why would olive oil lighten your hair? I've used olive oil to moisturize my hair before... but it didn't lighten it.
Hot oil treatments contain high acidic ingredients which will gradually fade hair dye. Also, shampooing with Prell, clarifying shampoos or liquid dish detergent with very warm water will help speed up the fading process. Make sure to use a conditioner afterward to restore moisture in your hair.

I dyed my hair last night, it was a dyed blonde before and I wanted to just basically freshen it up, well it went brown close to natural color. I decided to try the V05 hot oil treatment, since finding Prell is pretty much impossible in Canada, well I used it, left it on for 15 min. LOVE MY HAIR COLOR, it turned into the exact color I wanted, so thank u for the advice ladies
