Oil/gas ratio's for older craftsman chainsaws
I have a craftsman chain saw that is probably 12 years old and hasn't been run in over 5 years. There is no visible part # on the chainsaw itself, but the carrying case has a # on it. Part #36625. I need to know the correct oil/gas ratio. Also, if there is anything else that I might need to do due to the chainsaw being inactive for such a long period I would greatly appericate the help.

Dump the old gas out and fill the oil sump for the chain with fresh oil. Ration is 40:1 and avoid using plain 30w motor oil. Get oil made for 2 cycle engines, gas will last much lomger. I would also inspect the cahin carefully, wipe it down with an oily rag and make sure it can slide with normal force.
