    Family property in jeopardy
A piece of land recently became available for sale next door. I sold this property years ago to a family member. (A verbal agreement was made for the property to be sold back, this may not be important) It was agreed that the new owner would pay me for the upkeep of the property, which I provided. I have yet to seen anything of the such. The current owner has not set foot on the property for at least 15 years. I have kept the front mowed and maintained, as well as, the drive maintained that goes through the property. I would like to know if I have any legal right to claim of the property. This property has been in our family for over 50 years and I would like to keep it that way. Thanks!!

Why not just buy it back? If its up for sale then put in a bid!

As for the maintenance, if you can prove that was the agreement, then you can place a lien on the property for the value of the maintenance. But that only means you get paid when the property is sold.
