Brake lights on a 2001 ford explorer
The brake lights on my truck will not come on and the parking lights will not either. I checked all of the fuses and the bulbs and they are OK. So what's wrong?

. For the brake light problem, try spraying the brake light switch, located just above the brake pedal, with WD-40. Also, if you didn't already, it's preferable to use a test light or multimeter to test all under-dash and under-hood fuses. Here's how:

. Use a test light or multimeter to probe for power in the parking light connectors, after cleaning any corrosion. Disconnect the negative battery cable for cleaning; reconnect for testing.
