How much paint for whole interior of house?
I am going to paint the inside of my house. It is 2800 feet. How much paint should I buy and how do I figure it out. I am also painting the ceiling. After that I will try to tackle the exterior.

    Please Help

It took me roughly 1 gal and 1 pint to paint a 10 x 13 room. Are you painting all rooms the same color? If not, you need to know the size of each room.

You can get a pretty accurate guess by asking a professional painter to look at the project and give you an estimate. Paint and supplies should show in the estimate. After seeing the pros estimate you can better decide how to proceed.

Rough measure the outside... height in feet x width in feet = sq ft
Roughly 1gal will cover 120 sq ft (that will give you a little left over)

Guardmom, the rough calculations you have been given are very rough. We don't know your current colors otr planned colors. Its doubtful you can get away with one coat if you are going darker or lighter.

The current color is egg shell so it is staying the same

Egg shell is not the color, it is the finish. Gloss, Satin, flat, egg shell are all finishes but not colors unless some paint manufacturer has starter making new names to confuse us common folk.
