Spotting, it's common with birth control, messing with your hormones. If it worries you though, go see a doctor, your body is your responsibility and it's never dumb or anything like that make sure you are okay. I would be more concerned if it was a bright color, but if it continues or you get concerned, do feel free to call your doctor and talk to him/her.
This is very normal with the Depo shot. Not to worry, it should go away.
I was on depo for three years and the same thing happened to me. I did go to my doctor and she informed me that it is "old blood." That is blood that stays up there for a while its nothing to worry about at all and if u want to feel like your doing something about it, you can use a douche to clean out the old blood.
Please don't douche. That can be dangerous. Douching should never be done without a doctor's prescription or order.
This old blood is very normal and is a side-effect of the depo shot. If it does not clear up you may have to use another form of birth control.
Douching can lead to other problems, there's really no reason to do it, just wash yourself with clean water when you bath if you're worried about cleanliness.
Douching not only removes the normal flora that we need to maintain health, but also changes the delicate pH balance of the vagina and can actually lead to more infection.
