    Puppy having pottie issues
My husband and I just recently got a 3 month old yorkie. She is a tiny dog, and every since we've had her (going on 2 weeks now) she has had a problem pooping. The poop seems to be too big for a small puppy like her and it is really dry. We are going to take her to the vet but wanted to see if we could find out what might be the problem and see if it's something we can fix. Can you tell me what the problem might be? Thanks

The more economical, corn based chows produce larger stools, but usually softer too. How much water is she drinking Make sure she always has water available. See what the vet has to say.

When you take her in to the vet, don't forget to take a stool sample with you. She might need a change in food, more water, or what you believe is not a normal stool may very well be normal. The vet really is the person that you should be directing your question to.
