New charge while on Intense Probation
I am currently on 6 months intense probation, and 5 yrs total probation, or facing two 18-36 month sentences back to back. I served 4 months, 21 days in jail and was credited 4 months when I signed my plea bargan... I got stupid and put some items in my purse at Walmart, and was approached after I ditched the purse... was charged with trespassing and shoplifting... My PO told me that if I was convicted that I would probably go to prison... I hired another attorney as the court appointed lawyer has a lot to be desired... My new atty says that Walmart security may not even show up for court, and that he will get the trespassing charge dropped... atty was very short and quick during our 10 minute consultation... my nerves are shot with worry about whether I should get my affairs in order, as I may go from court to jail to prison... does anyone have any answers as to what may happen... the merchandise that I put in my purse was under $100, and I didn't even get past the cashier with it, let alone out the store with any merchandise... I spent one night in jail... the following morning I was seen on video arrangement and the judge reduced my $2k bond to $1k unsecured and signed me up with Pre-Trial... What should I expect in court...
