Best concrete to use to level floor?
    Hello,

I covered a concrete patio and am now is used as a sunroom. The room is 10' by 10' and slopes 2". I would prefer to have a level floor. I see there are self leveling products but I don't think that is necessary as I can trowel concrete no problem. Is it OK to us basic concrete without gravel for this application? Anyone have any experience with this? I want the new concrete to stick to the old of course! I plan to use either tile or linoleum as finished flooring. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks!

There are bonding agents that you can apply to the existing slab so new concrete adheres.
What I've done before is actually cut 2x4 wedges, in your case, from 2" to nothing, attached them to the slab, ridgid foam between the "joists", then 3/4" ply over everything. That's up here in the northeast so the sunroom can be used in the winter. (if heated of course!)
