I have a ex boyfriend who says he heard from a ex friend that I said he gave me herpes .
I did say I thought he gave me herpes but I am not sure and now he is treatening to sue me for slander

Well, you did say you thought he gave you herpes but you did not say he actually gave you herpes? Was what you said true? Why did you make such a statement to your former friend? What was your intent?

You should know that in this society most anyone can consult an attorney about a lawsuit. Seems to be the American Way. Does not mean it will go anywhere and it also does not mean it will not. My advice is to contact an attorney on your own and explain what was said and why and all the circumstances.
