    Missing dll files.
Hi I am sadly running Win98 on A Dell with 128 MB RAM,pentium III processor and stay real close to having 84% free space on drive C. Somehow I ended up with a missing dll file and starting getting the
RUNDLL32 caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7a3c8. error message.

I have run spyware, virus scan and registry cleaner with no improvement. I have even updated with the win98 update and am still missing the file.

Recently, after being online 2 times earlier in the day, I tried to get on AOL and it kept saying that the remote host wouldn't respond. I uninstalled AOL 9.0 SE as they suggested and when I tried to reload it, it goes to the fatal error screen every time it tries to dial out to get the access numbers.

In the device manager it says that my WAN miniport is not working properly but I am able to get online through Netzero. Can anyone help me understand this please?

    Thanks,
    Mary

    Try this site -
RunDLL or RunDLL32 errors often caused by caused by KERNEL32.DLL or other DLL File- Article

The other thing to check is how much cache you have available. You want to make sure your page file cache is large enough. You can look at it through the Task Manager, Performance tab.

If you read the message carefully it does not say you are missing a dll file. It says that a windows system file has caused an error causing a crash. Are you aware of norton disk doctor or dr watson? If not you need to have an advanced user or expert look at your computer
