I am 18 and am looking for a job driving in VA. Does anybody have any suggestions or tips or helpful comments?

Taxi, local delivery, smaller trucking companies.

Iguess suggestions, get out and start putting in 100's of applications.

Note that you need your high school diploma or GED for both. There's no age restriction on being a chauffeur, apparently, but you need to be 19 to drive a truck (and per the web site, some companies won't hire anyone under 25). So you might consider chauffeuring for the time being.

You can hire on as a subcontractor at some places and use your own vehicle.

Some companies have their own and hire you as an employee.
