You have to determine what is causing your teeth not to be white. Is it from things you eat and drink, or habits you have or are your teeth discoloured internally. I agree with ttara, you should go speak with a dentist to determine what would work best for you and your budget.
Take a peak at this website.
Teeth Whitening by Zoom!
I have calcium stains on my teeth and wanted to get them laser whitened. The at home kits don't work for me either. I want white white teeth so that those calcium stains blend in and become less noticeable. I also kicked a smoking habit about a year ago, so that made it worse.
Anyway, I have a free consultation this coming week! They do a free consultation to tell you whether you are eligible for this or not. You can't have plaque build-up and cavities.
They are also running some specials right now, depending on what area you are in. I know here they are running a $99 special! It's $375 normally, so fantastic deal.
I would look into it now!
You should make sure you get the correct advice about this as whiting you teeth can make them extremely sensitive and depending on your oral health it can cause more damage
Some whiting kits etc can take enamel off the teeth causing a rough surface and making stains easy to cling on.
That's why getting it done by a dentist is the best way, they can tell you whether your teeth in are a good condition to whiten. You get a free consultation with the Zoom.
Zoom isn't the be all and end all, there are lots of good in office whitening products available. Zoom is popular because of the "Extreme Makeover" television program and dentists are getting rich from it. Most charge about $500 more than they pay for the product so shop around.
THe most expensive I have seen Zoom IS $500, so they must get it for free... Here it's retail $375. And there is a 6 month special going to $99. So I don't think it's so bad. ANd that's how it became popular. But that is also how movie stars get their teeth so white. Zoom is the best thing to for people with stains, and discoloration. Some gels and strips just DON'T work for some people.
That's a good point. But if you go to the site, put in your zip code, you can see what places close to you offer it, if any. And then call and see what retail price is and if they are running any specials!
I'm a dental hygienist and I am well aware who is doing it and what it's costing. But it's a helpful site for those who are unaware who to go to.
Wow, okay...Quote:
