Here's the situation, I have a friend who is 8 months pregnant and wants to sign her rights of her child to me. The father doesn't want anything to do with the child neither does she. Will the procedure be hard to get rights of this child. Where would I look for information on that? Does anyone know the requirements to get legal custody of this unborn child?

I don't think in this case it would be a simple "relinquishing of rights".

Both parents would have to relinquish their parental rights and you would have to adopt the child.
