    Song of a broken heart!
I play this song for you

    Fingertips against the ivory

Each note crafted from my heart

Written in this poem for the eye to see

    Every tear, smile, and laugh

Play out like arpeggios on the staff

    Broken chords from shattered swords

Used in the war of love

    Tired of fighting

    Tired of trying

My soul has bore a dove

For our love was that dove I bore

    And watched fly away

    Praying for its return

    With an olive branch

    That day

    Will never come

That's why I play this song for you

    Filled with chords of metaphors

    And emotions that are true

Some notes are filled with tears

    That may damper petals

On the flower of your conscious

Which has become hard as metal

All that is left is the waning echoes

    Bouncing of the walls

    From our song that played

    Night and day

    Romancing the narrow halls

    Of my soul

    Now cold and barren

I cry out in these keys

    Which pierce the darkness

    Like the winter's breeze

    A soliloquy of silence

That falls on your deafened ears

    A melody of love

    Which you refuse to hear

So I play this song in silence

    Futilely on my hollow piano

An ode to a river deep with love

    Which has suddenly

    Become so shallow.

Naw, I love the ending too. Of course, I'm all into the artsy stuff now that my heart broke. Been listening to Radiohead a lot. It isn't dark with a hint of melancholy. I could see that played acoustically on a guitar in Adagio as they say. Almost like Tears in Heaven by Clapton. Using the arpeggio technique would be cool to like three chords with different notes just constantly.
