My name is murali. I am an international student and now I am on my OPT and recently started working. My pay is around $35/hour so this is coming to $5600/month. I want to know how much tax amount gets deducted from my monthly pay stub. I think I have tax exemption from this SSN and Medicare. Also is there any chart which specifies how much is deduction for certain limit of salary. Moreover I am single.

As a intl student, you are exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes (unless you have been in the U.S. for more than five years as a F-1 student).

You can access IRS Pub 15 to determine how much money will be withheld from your pay.
