Raw gas is spraying out the muffler to my leaf vac
I got a Craftsman leaf vac with a 5 hp Tecumseh that would not start. I broke down and cleaned the carburetor and reassembled it then replaced the governor spring. It started right up but would stall in about 10-15 minutes. I figured the carburetor was still a little gummed up. After restarting it 2-3 times it ran fine but when the motor starts and stops, it sounds like some pieces of steel clanking together. Now when I start it, raw fuel seems to be spraying out the muffler. Any idea what is up and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you are getting raw fuel out, either the flywheel key or valves is the problem.
