    Bathtub Leak
I need help figuring out what to do with my bathtub drain. It leaks when draining. Water seeps out from the bottom of the tub to the bathroom floor. My house is approximately 35 years old & built on a slab. I've found that if you pull the drain lever up about halfway & let it drain very slowly, it doesn't leak as much as when draining full force. Not an experienced DIY'er - where should I start?

Sounds like the leak is between the drain hole and the line going down.

You'll want to visually conirm this. Do you have access to the plumbing of the tub? If so, you'll want to let it drain while shining a flashlight on the plumbing... looking for where it's coming from.

From there it should be as easy as disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the parts... or (just as easy) replacing the parts.

Thanks for the tip. I think we can access the pipes from the adjacent half bath. We'll give it a shot :)
