    My daughter's lip gloss?
My 9 year old has a bad case of the "chapped lips". So, I've tried to get her to apply vaseline, capstick, bag balm... she's complaining that it burns. Later she came to me with a handfull of all her lip glosses, then asking if they work like chapstick. I was completely stupmed! SOOO... does lip gloss cure chapped lips like chapstick? HELP!

No it doesn't. In fact my daughters had some that actually chapped their lips. I think it was Bonnie belle flavored.
Dehydration or a deficiency of the essential fatty acids and vitamins in the diet may be underlying reasons when chapped lips occur.

Some lip glosses can soothe your lips and make them shiney, but will not heal the chapping or cracking. I recommend getting her a lip balm that contains ingredients like shea butter, Vitamin E or lanolin. These emollients will help soften and smooth rough, cracked, dry lips.
