Troybilt Tractor Lawn Mower gears won't engage
[F]I have an older Troy Bilt 42" deck Pony Model #18363013AN779G Serial #1L164B30018. It ran really good one day but the very next day, it will start, blade will engage, but it will not engage the forward or reverse gear. The shifter moves without a problem, but it is not engaging. Thought about the differential fluid issue but can't find a way in. Any ideas? The Operators manual isn't very helpful.
    [F]Thanks for any help.

Without the machine running, put it in forward and try to push it. Then reverse, and neutral. If you can only push it in neutral, then it's going into gear. If it won't push at all, you may have a stuck parking brake. Also check the drive belts, there are two that run from the engine to the transmission.
