    Washer Drain Not Draining
We just purchased a used W/D. It is Maytag Performa. When the spin cycle turns on you can hear the drain pipe fill up with water and then I spews water out of the pipe all over the ground... It does this every time no matter what temp. the water is or if there is soap or not. I have tried bending the drain pipe at different angles... sticking it as far in as it will go and barely putting it in at all. I also bought a 2 1/2 feet long snake and stuck that down there with no results. We used to have a rented W/D hooked up there and it slightly backed up then, but not nearly this bad. What is the problem??

Call roto rooter. You have a clog thet your snake will not reach.

HVAC has once again given you good advice. (Your snake is way too small.) However, since a lot of our askers are "do it yourselfers" I like to include in my answers instructions on how to repair it by themselves.
To do the repair yourself it must be done from one of two places. You may snake from the washer standpipe. Run your snake down to the trap and crank and work your way around the return bend. Once past the return bend put out about 15 or 20 feet more.
Or- you can go down the washer vent from the roof. Drop the snake down until it hits the bend at the base, from there put out 15 or 20 feet more of cable. Afterwards cycle washer to test and flush out the drain line. Good luck, Tom
