My 8yr old son is completely out of control he is very angry all the time and has been this way pretty much since birth. I have tried therapy, medication, changing his diet, taking everything away, rewards, charts, stars, you name it I've done it. I am terrified that he is going to kill his two younger sisters and myself. No one I know even family will watch him because they are scared of him and can't control him. I am at a loss I have tried everything I know about, I need help. I live in the Atlanta metro area. Does anyone have any suggestions or referrals to somewhere that can help him? Please.

I spent 13 years going through the Same thing. I would spend DAYS restraining him. I would have to chase him to keep him from trying to kill his sisters and brothers and a couple of neighbor kids. Then when I would have to spend the day restraining him his younger brother that liked imitating him would act up all the more.

Nobody would ever help me. I never had a babysitter except about three times in thirteen years and each time was a disaster. (Missed all PTA meetings, school activities and so forth)

Do whatever it takes (other than giving in to him) to keep enough peace so that Child Services do not get involved they really messed our life up totally.

People and Child services would say, "You have to do reward/punishment" but that is really hard because then the child takes it as "favoring the other kids over him" and it is hard to say we will go out if you all behave because you don't have a babysitter for the ones that don't get the reward of going out. These two things create a whole new problem in itself. But it is important to find something's that works for reward/punishment. One thing that always worked for me was hiding ALL their toys. For some reason when they had N0 toys they got along a whole lot better. Don't understand how/why that worked. Also when they have a really good week rent some movies for Sunday night.

One thing is do ALL the things you said you have tried but keep doing them consistently and structure everything you possibly can into a very scheduled routine as much as possible. Keep them busy. Maybe try having them to do arts & crafts projects sometimes like rainy days, weekends and in the evening before bedtime.
Have more family project time whether it is crafts,
Cooking and baking healthy foods
Going for walks in the fall in a nearby park and have them look for a list of things like one of every different type leaf you can find, unusual rocks, etc...

Especially be consistent with diet for ADHD, meaning what you say or punishment, and strict bedtime.

They are now saying kids that act up lack Omega fatty acid.
There is also a pill called Little Angels you can ask about at a health food store such as GNC.
You can also try giving him passion flower or chamomile near bedtime.

Cut out ALL junk foods especially chips, Little Debbies, Hostess, soda (especially diet) and anything with aspartame and message.

The strict bedtime is important because you need time to yourself to unwind. Whenever possible soak in a hot tub with lavender oil or something relaxing. You have to take care of yourself and that is one of the few ways you can when you have a kid like this.
