    I have uneven skin
I know how many girls out there have the same problem as me... When summer is around the corner and your skin is uneven it looks very weird and not to mention not pretty. And I've noticed that my skin is uneven under my butt cheeks, also my tummy is darker than my normal skin tone. People say I should get a tan but I want to be my color NOT darker. I NEED HELP! :(

Uneven skin tone can occur for many reasons. The most well known reasons are (1) uneven build up of Melanin or (2) lack of sebum production.

Regular Exfoliation and proper daily skin cleansing can help. If you are young and you have this problem as you get older it starts to even out.

Hello, amboys14. I've read the PM you've sent me. Exposure to sunlight and warm summer weather can increase the production of melanin in your skin and cause an uneven skin tone. Discolorations can also be caused by oral contraceptives, chemical irritation or rubbing the skin vigorously. Since the unevenness in your skin only occurs in the summer, it will gradually go away. But if it bothers you, try using antioxidants lotions containing Vitamins C and E. This will hydrate and brighten the dark areas on your skin. Another option is to use lotions with lightening ingredients such as kojic acid or glycolic acid to lighten the dark uneven areas. You should also use a sunscreen before you go out in the sun to help prevent against pigmentation problems.
