;) I really need some advice. My ex from 4 years ago and I had been hanging out/hooking up over the last month. I ended up telling him I loved him and he said he loved me but it's not the right time. So I didn't talk to him for 1.5 weeks, deciding to just leave it alone. I ran into him at a party and he blurted out "I love you" to me. We talked that night and the next day and decided that, while now is not the right time, that we do love each other and we'll wait it out.

He then texted me a couple days suring the next week and we joked around. Then we started talking and he started saying he wasn't sure, ready and either of us could meet someone tomorrow and that he needs to concentrate on work now. I told him I couldn't talk to him for a while and he said he understood but for me that I know how he feels about me and he knew we would talk soon.

Then I ran into him a couple days later, barely said hi and proceeded to drink too much to the point where I called him (I don't remember, honestly). He called me the next morning and I invited him over to come cuddle with me. He came over and we hooked up. I told him I had no expectations with respect to him and he said "no expectations right now". We had fun, watched football, joked around then he left, kissing me goodbye.

I sent him a goofy text message a couple days later and he replied right away. I have not heard from him since. I have decided to really back off and not contact him at all because I realize I deserve to be treated like a lady and deserve to treat myself like one (no more casual hookups). My question: have I completely ruined it with him or do you think, sometime in the future he may come around?

Well I applaud you for being brave, and realizing that you decided to stop hooking up with him before it got too deep. I also would also like to mention the fact that You do deserve to be treated like a lady. I think you are doing the right thing by not contacting him do not give him control over the situation. You be in control, If it was meant to be then it will be, but because he stated he don't have time to have a relationship but he somehow have time to HOOKUP, that was an excuse don't waste your time.. Keep doing what you are doing by not contacting him. He may or may not come back around.. Besides there is a reason why he is an EX...
