When Renting An Apt. Can kids (boy & girl) share a room?
I get numerous calls from families wanting to rent a 2 bedroom apartment, when what they really need is a 3 bedroom apartment.

 Is there a law that states how many children can fit into 1 bedroom (their parents would have their own bedroom)?

 Is there a law against a boy or girl sharing a room? I've been told that if the child is 7 years old, it can not share a room with the opposite sex.

This depends on where you are. Some states have rules about occupancy such as so many people per square foot. Other areas do require an age limit to which opposite sex children can no longer share a bedroom. But most places do not codify that last leaving it up to the parents discretion (which is where it should be).
