    Pains at 34 weeks
I sat in a chair last night to type an email and was sitting in the chair and had to jump up very quickly as I got a very bad pain that started in my butt and went to my vagina it took my breath away and hurt to sit for a couple minutes after. What was that? Is it something to be concerned about. THis is my first pregnancy and I feel so clueless

It sounds like baby is settling down into your pelvis and you got a cramp in your sacral area. If you are not having bleeding or abdominal pain you should not be too concerned, but you may want to call your doctor tomorrow.

It can. You are getting close to delivery, just 6 short weeks ahead. Baby is settling low into the pelvic cavity right now getting ready for delivery. You may feel this again, you may not. But if you aren't bleeding, no backache, no contractions, then most likely your body is just gearing up for delivery.

I had that with my daughter, my OB said that it was just her settling into the pelvis. It happened quite a few more times... it worked because I only had to push for 15 minutes and in the last push, I pushed her head and entire body out. (She was 20 in. 7lb 10 oz.) Best of luck! Enjoy these last few weeks, you'll miss feeling the baby... I sure do.
