    Honeywell CT8602 Thermostat
The 'Filter' light flashes permanently, and I think this is a function of running time, not filter condition. Nowhere in the instructions does it tell you how to correct this. Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

Many thanks, but I tried that already. I THINK that the thermostat program brings up the "Filter" flashing after X hours running time. It is just a reminder, not an indication of the filter condition. I suspect that it can be cancelled by the simultaneous push on two or more of the function buttons - but so far I've not discovered which ones!

    Thanks again

This light comes on every 60 days or so. Therefore, the following steps need to be repeated as necessary.

Step 1: Press once the I (Information) button located at top right, third from top.
Step 2: Press once the Time up button located in lower section.
Step 3: Press once the "Run Program" button to finish.

Now, flashing be-gone! Hope this helps.

    Dear nchan,

I've been away for a few days and tried your suggestion just as soon as I got home - and you are absolutely right. Problem solved. Very many thanks - and I hope Honeywell will now include this in their instruction book! Thanks again.
