Thermostat on Heat and Auto fan but fan is not on
    Hi, This just started happening.
I have a dual zone thermostat.
The thermostat downstairs seems to turn on. I set the desired temp at 72 but it does not get any warmer then 67.

The thermostat upstairs... I set it on auto but the fan does not run. If I set it on Fan, cold air blows out.

    Help.. .

    PS> Thermostat is honeywell.. T8112

The down stairs thermostat could simply be out of calibration. If you turn it up closer to 80, will it bring the room temperature up to 72 degrees? If so, the easiest thing would be to do it. Otherwise, you could try to adjust it, or replace it.

What sort of a system is this, 2 separate systems or one with dampers? The upstairs sounds like a bad limit switch. If so, the heat should run with the thermostat set to heat and the fan to on. Post back with some more details, gas, heat pump, etc.

    Thanks Labman.
Got a plumber to come in and he said that the valve from the water heater was broken.
    It works fine now :-)
